Terms of Service
Last updated: [DATE]
These Terms are an agreement between you and WipeMe LLC ("WipeMe," "we," "us"). By signing up, you agree to them.
1. The service
We search people-search sites and data brokers for listings about you and submit and pursue removal, opt-out, and related privacy requests on your behalf as your authorized agent. Plan scope (people covered, re-scan frequency, custom removals, support) is described on our Pricing page. We are not a law firm and do not provide legal advice.
2. Authorization
You will sign an authorized-agent permission form naming us and the rights we may exercise for you. Some sites may still require you to verify your identity or confirm the request directly; you agree to complete those steps when asked. For California's DROP, you verify your own residency and list us as your agent; we will not cancel a DROP request unless you instruct us to.
3. Your responsibilities
You agree to provide accurate and complete information, including name variants, past addresses, phone numbers, and emails, and to submit requests only about yourself or people who have authorized you (e.g. family members on a Family plan).
4. No guarantee of removal
We submit and pursue removal requests on your behalf, but we cannot guarantee that any website will remove your information, that removed information will not reappear, or that information derived from public records will be deleted. Results depend on third-party compliance with applicable law.
5. Billing, renewal, and cancellation
- Monthly plans renew each month; annual plans renew each year at the price shown at purchase unless we notify you of a change [X] days in advance. We send a reminder with the renewal price before each annual renewal.
- You can cancel anytime from your dashboard or by emailing [email protected]. Cancellation stops future charges.
- Refunds: [REFUND POLICY].
- One-Time Deep Clean is a single, non-recurring purchase. Upgrade credit: [TERMS, within 90 days].
- Advocate-rate eligibility requires a referral from a shelter or advocate. [VERIFICATION PROCESS].
6. Data handling
Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, protect, and delete your information. We use it only to fulfill your requests, verify identity, or prevent fraud.
7. Limitation of liability
[LIMITATION OF LIABILITY AND DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTIES. Attorney to draft.]
8. Disputes and governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. [DISPUTE RESOLUTION / VENUE. Attorney to draft.]
9. Safety
Our service is not an emergency service. If you are in immediate danger, call 911.
